"A declaration of war". Those were the strong words from Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas after a day of violence in Jerusalem. First, right-wing Jewish activist Yehuda Glick was shot by a Palestinian, who was later killed by Israeli police. There followed renewed clashes in East Jerusalem, and a massive tightening of security by Israel, including the closing of all access to the Al-Aqsa compound, a highly symbolic site for both Muslims and Jews. Will this historic conflict ever come to an end?
