Look inwards
- - - - - - - - -
Turned upside down
No stone unturned left
And have swept the heaven
But nowhere found
All through life
What he wished and longed for
This is not a thing material
That is visible
And can be found everywhere
At the cost you wish to pay for
In philosophies abstract
And in truths abstruse
Interested are a very few
When you say
Be still and know the peace within
Instead of looking outside for happiness
Look for consciousness
Behind the consciousness
And experience infinite bliss within
Like a Himalayan musk deer
You are running hither and thither
Worn out and dying
Searching for the source
Of the musk fragrance
Scarcely realizing that
The musk smell
Originating from within
Still hoping against hope
I see a slender ray of light
Creeping from your solemn heart
That betokens an ampler dawn
Suffusing you with infinite light
