What is it I have in my hand?
Hint: Something all too grand.
It sparked world imagination,
The source for all causation.
The essence of life,
It was the solution to the first strife.
The savior for those who suffered,
New beginnings it offered.
What is it I have in my hand?
Hint: Many don't see it grand.
Seemingly insignificant,
It has the power to turn a man into a tyrant.
In eternal life it lives and dies,
A metaphor large, but small in size.
Though it is small, its task is great.
Its beauty is postponed, so one must wait.
What is it I have in my hand?
Hint: For centuries it has made its stand.
Taken for granted,
Yet its beginning leaves men enchanted.
Something so small creates our society,
Small but wide in variety.
If human, it would be gentle,
A child maybe, wise in mental.
Do you know what it is?
