The chameleon
leaned on the lamp post
His designer face
smooth as sherbet ice cream
aimed at me long-lashed eyes;
expectant.
I could not help nature's response
and stared longer than permitted
etiquette.
The reptile gaze
reminded me of a maze;
a fisherman's bait,
I did not take the nip
poisoned.
