Grey clouds full of rain
tormenting the sky
days in and days out.
Oh how time does fly
clear skies of sunshine
so rarely seen
I sit and wonder
what does it all mean?

Frowns on faces
no smiles in sight,
tears but no laughter
what does it all mean?
Where is the warmth
from that large guiding light
that brightens up the heavens
for all to see?
Has it nodded off
with all the dark clouds in sight?

Come back sunshine
all is forgiven.
Sweep away the dark days
put a smile back on our faces;
let us rejoice again
at your sight.
All is forgiven Mr Sunlight.
