Oh, let me die a natural death
Lord, when my stay here ends;
When I have seen all beautiful earth,
And I have made amends;
I’ll do my best in my life-span,
Far better than the average man;
I’ll do my best,
I’ll do my best,
I’ll try to do the best I can.

Oh, let me die a natural death,
When I am old and wise;
And let me keep on my good health,
Without contracting vice;
Without ailments of any kind,
With health of heart and soul and mind;
Without ailments,
Without ailments,
And leave my footprints good behind.

Oh, let me die a natural death,
Without a doctor’s aid;
My death be not declared by steth,
Like flowers, let me fade;
The good must stay when I am gone;
I thank my Maker I was born;
The good must stay,
The good must stay,
The planet earth, to well adorn.
