The little butterfly fluttered around the well
heedless of the depth or what her mom would tell
that ventures far from home or on a somber trail
could bring mysterious fates and darkness to the hill

The butterfly was brave, it soared above the lake
and saw the water blue and wondered who could make
all that magnitude, pristine and never fake
with the serenity that none would dare to break

the butterfly flew high with clouds to the sky
and knocked on the doors of heavens and sat by
angels of peace and love who sang the lullaby
to all children of earth and never tell a lie
