Their songs turn into weeping
as harpoons pierce through their lungs.
Their songs of trust and friendship
with mankind is silenced
by cruel hands.

Blood flows and fills
the blue lagoon now made
-the stage of the great slaughter-
of one of the greatest friends to man-
the dolphins.

And let their songs now
which turn into weeping
and silent tones
torture our conscience.
