Forgive me if I do not seem to understand
The workings as such of The law Of The Land
For the haves and the have nots different laws seem to apply
Why this has to be one has to wonder why.
That any citizen is not above the Nation's law
From that your own conclusion you ought to draw
When the working class more tax in relation to income than the wealthy does pay
The law does not seem fair when seen in this way.
'Tis true enough everyone does breathe the same air
But The Law Of The Land does not treat everyone fair
Many on low incomes to the Government too much in taxes do pay
That they are hard done by does seem fair to say.
The Law Of The Land does seem to suit you fine
If in the top restaurants you can afford to wine and dine
But not for those whose weekly income is quite small
And what does this say of a fair go for all?
