I told you I loved
You said ok
We became close
And we were great as friends
And I never wanted to lose you
But I thought we would be the perfect couple
So I finally built the courage to ask you
This took forever and ever to do
But I did it
And I asked
“Do you love me? ”
You tired to change the subject but
I kept resulting back to it
You finally said ok
And told me
Exactly how you felt
And those words just ripped me apart
My heart was broken again
Just that simple word “no”
How can it seem to dig deep and rip your heart out of your chest
Without leaving one little bit of zest
But there you go again
My heart gone
Nothing to explain my pain
Now where inside me
Has the courage to speak
So I slowly whisper
Why go on?
Why live life?
Why watch other couples?
If I know ill never have the love
Ill never know what loves really all about
So I decide life is not worth living
And stick the knife straight in side
my empty chest! !
