Aye, it was a day of all days
I sit here wondering about all nay’s and says
Sipping on strong coffee splashed with Irish cream
Wondering if tonight you will walk amongst my midnight dream
Feeling a chill course through me soul
Wondering if your spirit is out for and October stroll
Sometime I wonder
Then ponder…
Could we have been together another time another place
Have I kissed those petal soft lips on that handsome face?
Have we danced to the sound of a harp in days of old?
Could I have spoken to you words untold?
Perhaps in a royal court, you my king and I your queen.
Could we have made love long ago while the fairies watched in the forest green?
Aye, perhaps but who would now but the Lady of Love
At times I look at the stars above
Close my eyes and whisper low, could this have truly been
Or just part of some lover’s scene?
