Life has given me enough reasons to hate,
Us meeting and falling in love wasn’t just fate.
You came knocking straight at my gate,
To become my partner; my friend; my mate.
Always remember I love your smile, your eyes,
They give me security, and all my worry dies.
The warm hands that always held me tight,
In whose embrace all my troubles seemed light.
The way your smell reminds me of fresh breeze,
I wish I could make those memories freeze.
The long hours we spend together talking crap,
And the way I heard you breathe when you took a nap.
I can’t describe how you changed my life,
I started dreaming of being your wife.
But I forgot that it wasn’t a sure deal,
Doesn’t matter, later however I feel.
My emotions, my hopes, my happiness got sacked,
I didn’t understand what I missed, or lacked.
I knew just one thing for sure,
Love would be one disease I wouldn’t be able to cure.
You loved me back without saying it loud,
But It scared me cos it could someday fade like a cloud.
What if you didn’t want to see me again?
That is the reason I preserve each memory with a pen.
