Billy Hays' Orchestra (sometimes referred to as Hayes) was made up of well-known studio musicians (e.g. Mike Mosiello, Andy Sanella). Some sources take the band's name as a pseudonym for Sam Lanin, while others consider it to be one of dozens of Harry Reser's nicks. In this case as well, most sources consider this as a Lanin session. Who-ever is playing, this disc, recorded in 1928, features a colorful and catchy arrangement. The vocalist remained uncredited, but could be identified as Art Gillham.
