The Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency advised residents to prepare for possible evacuations on October 26, as the lava flow from the Kilauea volcano crept closer to residential areas in the Puna region. The flow is currently moving at a rate of approximately 15 to 20 yards per hour and had advanced approximately 170 yards on Sunday, according to a statement by the defense agency.
