Actor Pierce Brosnan admires a portrait of himself as James Bond.

It was created by quadriplegic artist and 007 fan, Mariam Pare.

"I painted a portrait of Pierce Brosnan as James Bond 007 and also a portrait of him present day. And he became aware of me and my art and he was kind enough to invite me out to his home and I brought the paintings with me to give him."

Pare studied art as an able-bodied woman but was disabled when she was shot in the back by an unknown assailant.

Despite her injury, she continues to paint and nourish her love of art.

Brosnan is also an artist and says he paints to relax or to help him cope with emotionally challenging situations, like when his late wife Cassandra Harris was ill with cancer.
