British teenagers were given a smorgasbord of hot young talent to scream for at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards on Sunday October 19.

While female stars including singer Rita Ora, Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams and pop singer Ella Henderson received big cheers, the screams went out from the mostly female crowd to the boys. They included upcoming Canadian heartthrob Shawn Mendes, singer songwriter and producer Labrinth, and Nick Jonas, who has just launched his solo career with his debut single 'Chains'.

Like Miley Cyrus, Jonas alongside his two brothers became a big star thanks to the Disney Channel. However, unlike Cyrus, Jonas is not changing his persona dramatically with this relaunch - especially where religion is concerned.
