Shelling strikes a funeral gathering in the eastern Ukrainian village of Sartan, killing seven people and injuring at least 15 others.
(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) UNIDENTIFIED MAN, SAYING:
"I stood there and then something flew past me. There was a small explosion, and that's it. Then the screaming started."
The deaths come as an uneasy ceasefire looms over the country's east.
Although Ukraine and pro-Russian separatists agreed to it last month, the ceasefire is regularly violated.
On Tuesday, a military spokesman also reported the deaths of seven Ukrainian serviceman.
Overall, the United Nations says more than 3,600 people have been killed -- including Ukrainian troops, separatists and civilians -- since fighting erupted in April.
