In Ferguson, Missouri four days of peaceful demonstrations ended with the arrests of 50 people protesting the shooting of unarmed African-American teen Michael Brown as well as the later shooting nearby of another unarmed teen, Vonderitt Myers. Protesters demanded justice, the arrest of the officers responsible, and demilitarization of their town. One of those arrested was well known academic-philosopher Cornel West. teleSUR
