A Saturday morning-inspired cartoon featuring controversial heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson as the de facto leader of a Scooby-Doo-like gang of crime solvers seems like a ridiculous idea. Which is exactly why the upcoming animated series "Mike Tyson Mysteries," starring the voice of the man himself, is a perfect fit for Cartoon Network's late-night programming block, Adult Swim.
A television haven for some of the wackiest cartoons ever created, Adult Swim had recently premiered a new trailer this past weekend at the New York Comic Con. The preview provides another peek at a cartoon-drawn Tyson trying to solve baffling crime mysteries with a couple of unlikely friends: Community's Jim Rash as a gentleman ghost, stand-up comic Norm MacDonald as a wisecracking talking pigeon, and comedian Rachel Ramras as Tyson's adoptive teen daughter.
"Mike Tyson Mysteries" is set to premiere on Monday, October 27th.
