Union Minister and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was on Monday(October 13) sacked as spokesperson of the party. According to Congress sources, "Shashi Tharoor has become an embarrasmment to the party". Tharoor's sacking comes just 4 days after the AIIMS report on Sunanda Pushkar's death lead to further controversy as it claimed that she died of poisoning. Tharoor was also at the center of contention after he responded positively to Modi's invitation to join the ambitious 'Clean India campaign'. The Kerala unit of Congress slammed him in its report which was sent to party high command in New Delhi.
