Selling a house isn't always easy, especially when it's full of spiders. A residence in Missouri has been empty for two years because of this problem.

The location of the home is a pristine spot. It overlooks a portion of the golf course at Whitmoor Country Club.

The family purchased the ranch in 2008, but didn't learn it was infested with brown recluse spiders until later. Like the previous owners, they were forced to move out because of this.

They sued the former owners, alleging they weren’t informed about the problem in advance. Eventually, the residence was foreclosed on.

One estimate says there are between 4,500 and 6,000 of the creepy crawlers inside the 2,400-square-foot house. While never fatal, a bite from a brown recluse spider could insight a myriad of issues, including nausea, vomiting and in rare cases a drop in red blood cell count or renal failure

It’s unclear why this home in particular is loaded with them because it’s a fairly new structure. However, the spiders often hide in furniture and could have unknowingly been brought into the house.

Crews have pumped poison gas inside the home to get rid of them once and for all. The extermination efforts are expected to cost around $14,000.

The family who previously occupied the house has amounted more than $100,000 in legal fees.
