"We are the 99 percent" was the slogan of the Occupy Movement. The statement drew attention to the gap between the one percent of the mega-rich, whose income is steadily rising, and the rest of the world. Three years ago tens of thousands of people in 80 countries demonstrated against unjust income. The protests may have died down, but the facts show that social inequality is on the rise.
