Japanese search teams look for more bodies buried under the ash at Mount Ontake.

It's been more than a week since the volcano eruption that killed at least 54 people.

Several bodies were found in the past few days, but eight people are still missing.

Japan's self defence forces are back on the slopes, after last week's heavy rain and typhoon.

The race is on to find the remaining bodies before the volcanic ash turns solid.

Hikers say there was no warning of the eruption, Japan's deadliest in a century.
