Recently a flight from New York to Charlotte, North Carolina was thrown off schedule due to a number of loose crabs.
There are a multitude of reasons why a flight could be delayed, but some are more on the unusual side.
On Thursday evening, US Airways flight 890 from New York City to Charlotte, North Carolina was delayed due to a number of loose crabs.
The aircraft was supposed to take off at 6:59 P.M. And the crabs were discovered when the plane was on the ground.
Airline staffers swept up the creatures and the aircraft was allowed to take off at 7:25. An airline spokesperson later talked about the incident saying employees encountered ‘some seafood cargo problems’.
Somehow a canister had opened up, leading to the crabs' release.
Understandably, passengers had all sorts of reactions to the situation. Despite the inconvenience, the plane landed safely in Charlotte at about 9:30 P.M.
