A loving dad in Texas spent 12 years hoping his daughter was still alive and amazingly his longtime wish has been granted.

His child, Sabrina Allen went missing at the age of 4. The girl who is now 17 years old has been found.

The teen was located along with her mother. They were both living in a small apartment near Mexico City. Police had received a tip about the pair’s location.

Sabrina’s father, Greg Allen reported her missing back in 2002 after the child disappeared following a weekend visit with her non-custodial mother, Dara Llorens. Reportedly, Llorens had made threats in the past about fleeing the state of Texas with Sabrina.

In the years that followed, Allen set up a website for his daughter. A 20 thousand dollar reward for credible information was offered. He also hired a private investigator.

Finally, Allen got the call he’s been waiting for. On Tuesday, Mexican Immigration staffers recovered Sabrina and her mother. They were later placed on a flight to Houston.

Llorens is now in jail, facing charges of aggravated kidnapping, unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and interfering with child custody.’ Allen is hoping to be reunited with Sabrina as soon as possible.

He stated “I'm going to ask her if I can give her a hug. She's in pretty bad shape is my understanding. I just pray for healing. We’re eager to have her home.”
