Paterson, New Jersey.- After graduation he applied to the City of Paterson's finance department and was hired as an internal auditor. During his time with the city he became acquainted with the budget. He attended Rutgers University's Center for Government Services where he completed all the necessary courses in the municipal finance field. Flavio's duties in the city of Paterson included management of revenue collection of tax abated properties. He performed audits for funding of Federal and state grants and was responsible for maintaining compliance of some of the cities contracting Agencies. After working for various years for the city he applied for the County of Passaic and was hired as an Auditor. His current duties encompass evaluating and coordinating programs and procedures for federal and state aid. He also oversees the fiscal operations of most of the county's grants. He prepares reports, collects revenues and performs other accounting functions.

Understanding commitment Flavio is involved and a member of TEAM HOPE. An organization created to serve the Hearts of Paterson Everywhere. He serves as a trustee and treasurer for Friends of Paterson Charter Academy. Also, is the current treasurer for Community Charter School of Paterson and a Legislative Liaison to the Newly elected Assemblyman, Benjie E. Wimberly.

Flavio's passion is in Fiscal Responsibility. He has chosen his Campaign slogan "Putting Fiscal Responsibility First" because he understands that when the finances are right the people are right. With his accounting and municipal governmental experience he has seen how the city of Paterson and its taxes continue to rise and the quality of life diminishes. He has chosen to run to bring solutions to the city. He has decided that being in the sidelines is no longer acceptable. He believes being proactive instead of reactive is the best route to take.
