Watch the cop at the end (at 3:00 into this video) walk over to the handcuffed suspect and knee, punch, and kick him in the head. Then the same cop rams his head into the patrol car.

disclaimer: I HAVE NO SYMPATHY for Samuel Toomey. He committed a despicable act (shot and killed his neighbors because they were noisy). He deserved whatever happened to him and more.

HOWEVER, we don't hire cops to be judges and executioners. Meting out punishment to criminals... is not the job of the cops. That's what the courts are for.

The reason it's so troubling is... this same treatment by the cops, and worse, has been known to happen over minor infractions, or for just arguing with the cop, or can happen to a suspect who turns out to be completely innocent. Non-whites are particularly vulnerable.

After watching the police footage several times, I was surprised just how many punches and kicks that cop delivered to the handcuffed suspect. Its hard to spot, but just as the other cops are picking him up, the abusive cop delivers a final hard kick to his head. The other cops did nothing to stop it.
