A reversal of fortune for the man once banned from visiting the U.S..
Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi on Tuesday was welcomed at the White House where the talk focused on cooperation and shared values.
SOUNDBITE: President Obama saying:
"As two of the world's largest democracies...We have so much in common, it is important for us to continue to deepen and broadened the existing framework of partnership and friendship that already exists."
Obama and Modi discussed everything from security to clean energy and trade.
SOUNDBITE: Indian Prime Minister Naredra Modi saying (Hindi):
"I also sought President Obama's support for continued openness and ease of access for Indian service companies in the U.S. market."
The two leaders also took in Washington sites including the Martin Luther King memorial.
