The interception of communications of the chief negotiator of the Colombian government, Humberto de la Calle, the recent threats against human rights defenders, and the presence of paramilitary forces, raise concern among authorities, social organizations, and sectors working for the peace process in Colombia. For the victims of the conflict, the government has to put an end to the persistence of paramilitary groups before starting to contemplate a post-conflict era.
