In their latest effort to get people buying their food again, McDonalds is testing out yet another spin on their menu items out in limited areas. This time around: Mozzarella sticks and seasoned fries and McNuggets. CATCH: you have to season them yourself.
They’re called Shakin’ Flavor McNuggets (note the missing ‘G’! McDonalds is SOOO youthful and exciting!), and the way it works is you get an order of nuggets, and then you can shake on the powdered seasoning of your choice. Sure, McDonalds could just tweak their breading recipe, but that wouldn’t be nearly as fun for you, the consumer.
Ok, the exact “fun” factor is TBD, as McDonalds is currently only testing the Shakin’ Flavor McNuggets in Sacramento, and the analogous Shakin’ fries in Stockton, CA. But if the tests go well, these things could be available everywhere!

If Shakin’ your food sounds like too much work, perhaps you’d appreciate McDonald’s slightly more restrained efforts to expand their fried food menu with the addition of mozzarella sticks: http://goo.gl/5JT3Ud
Have you tried the Shakin’ Flavor Fries or Shakin’ Flavor Nuggets? What about McDonald’s new mozzarella sticks? What other menu items do you think we’ll see next from the fast food giant?
