Andrea Amici pushed aside disappointment when he lost a win to a puncture by racing from the back of the grid to victory in second Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race. Amici led home Cédric Leimer and third placed Leonardo Geraci. Aside from the drama that red flagged the race, Adrian Newey was denied the opportunity to repeat his strong 8th placed finish on Saturday when a spin on the formation lap for race two saw him hit a concrete barrier, damaging his car beyond repair.
Cedric Leimer maintained his lead at the head of the field for the first three laps of race two, despite being challenged by Bonaldi's Adrian Zaugg who was pressing to overhaul yesterday's race winner. However, their skirmish was delayed when the #7 Aviatrax by Santéloc car driven by Alessandro Bortesi crashed, damaging the Armco barriering, which in turn called out the Safety Car, but the compromised barriering required the race to be stopped two laps later to allow repairs to be affected. Meanwhile, Alessandro emerged unscathed from his ordeal.
