At least seven terrorists were killed in a police encounter at Afghan Basti of Sohrab Goth area in Karachi on Wednesday when the police entered to carry a mere search operation. The police reportedly also seized grenades and thousands of bullets, Dunya News reported.

According to the details, the police reached the area to carry the search operation after acting on a tip they received about presence of terrorists in the area.

The police started searching door to door after surrounding the whole settlement. They also recovered thousands of bullets and grenades.

An explosion also took place during the search operation. The backup police contingent arrived on the spot. The police personnel faced difficulties because of the narrow streets in the settlement.
