Each battle takes place between two sides, each with four heroes controlled by one or two players. Players will not both protect their own bases and attempt to destroy the enemies’ in a single battle. They are either the attackers or the defenders. And the defensive party wins only after having eradicating all the heroes from the other side while the offensive side must battle enemy heroes and the NPC guardians and destroy the tower in order to be victorious. Eight heroes will be available, each with distinctive appearance, weapons and skills. Upon killing any enemy, the heroes gain experience and once the accumulated experience reach the thresholds, heroes level up, unlocking or upgrading skills. The higher level a hero reaches, the more powerful he or she becomes.
In the turn-based combat, each hero enjoys limited Action Points, which determine how far they could travel, and how many actions they could take in each turn. One cannot move or act any more once he or she has used up their Action Points and if they end their turn before making use of all the available Action Points, the remaining points are wasted.
