1965 War:
The history of 1965 War is replete with tales of Pakistani Army men rendering supreme sacrifices in the line of duty. On 6th September 1965, Indian forces attacked Pakistan. The initial thrust on Lahore-Kasur front was soon stalled by the valiant soldiers of Pakistan. M M Alam made a world record as he shot down five enemy aircraft with his f-86 Sabre. Pakistan launched riposte and captured khem karan. One of the world's greatest battles of tanks was fought at Chawinda as India opened the sialkot front with an armoured and three infantary divisions. Pakistan took the war on Indian soil and panic stricken Indian leaders rushed to the UNSC with a ceasefire request. Operation Dwarka had been highly sucessful and inflicted heavy demages on Indian Navy. India suffered immense losses of men and material. however, both sides returned to pre-war positions after tashkent declaration in Jan 1968.
