Try asking more probing questions (nothing alien, mind you...); i.e. How did they measure bilateral activation? However they answer, it keeps the audience in an observant and rational frame of mind. If there are flaws with their science, the audience will see them as soon as you make them visible. Consider that you may need to serve the audience's need for understanding more than your own need for calling them to the floor in order for understanding to evolve.

It makes sense if the only value you consider is that of money. This is the typical corporate attitude that has led to a huge wage gap and a global economy that has literally sacrificed humanity's future for a profit. However, if you consider the value of life, it does not make sense. There are still plenty of resources around to help people; literally the only reason to increase prices is to immorally and unethically take advantage of people in a desperate situation.
