Bahria Town founder Malik Riaz on Friday announced a relief package worth Rs 500 million for the flood affectees, saying that it’s not just the government’s job to provide relief, Dunya News reported.
Bahria Town has a reputation of involvement in public service relief efforts whether it’s 2012 floods or Tharparkar famine.
Announcing the Rs 500 million relief package, Riaz said that it’s not just the government’s job to provide the relief efforts adding that everyone has to step up and get involved.
He appealed the wealthy and humanitarian individuals to step ahead, saying that if 800 donors came together then the issue can be resolved.
Malik Riaz said that he has also sent his helicopter for the relief work, and that at least three more helicopters will reach by tomorrow (Saturday) to participate in the relief efforts.
Bahria Dastarkhwan has also been arranged to provide food for the affectees.
