Traffic is a frustrating problem in Culver City, California and the installation of 15-foot poles loaded up with confusing parking signs wasn’t helping matters.

The poles were already in place outside of the Linwood E. Howe Elementary School with several notices, but only days before classes were scheduled to begin, yet more signs appeared attached to them.

They now displayed 8 different and confusing signs.

Many outlined where and when parking was likely to result in a hefty fine.

The others were posted to explain a new valet program the school was introducing.

Both teachers and parents of students have for some time been experiencing frustrations with finding somewhere to stash their vehicles.

Parking problems are commonplace, including the numerous congestion issues the practice creates.

The school is attempting to alleviate the problem, but the way in which the message was delivered left those who saw the postings overwhelmed and confused.

Only a day after the numerous signs went up, they were taken down.

The mayor of Culver City called the signage tower, “…an example of a good program with misguided communication.”

A neighborhood resident said he was under the impression only one additional sign would be put up – not several.
