According to the sources, the much awaited talks between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf are likely to resume today in Islamabad. PTI will be presenting a new proposal to the government to probe allegations of rigging in last year’s elections. PTI’s core committee for negotiations will propose to pass a resolution in the National Assembly according to which the judicial commission will probe into the electoral rigging allegations within a timeframe of 30 days. PTI urges that in case the judicial commission gathered evidence of alleged election rigging, Nawaz Sharif would immediately resign from his office. Moreover, assemblies will be dissolved and transparent and fair elections would be held under a care-taker government as per PTI’s new proposal to be brought in during the dialogue with the government.
