Electric vehicles aren’t known for having that signature, sleek look that so many car buffs go for. Well, the latest introduction into the electric auto world is a Renovo Coupe that may be able to change what people typically think about the appearance.

In the head turning world of supercars, electric vehicles are not typically at the top of the list. The latest Renovo Coupe however, may change all that.

With the iconic styling of a Shelby Daytona Coupe, Renovo’s masterpiece is an electric wonder with the numbers to back it up.

Getting the body was somewhat easy, as the company bases the design on a genuine Shelby chassis with a few modifications that allow for the electric drivetrain. The cars are sent to the company’s Silicon Valley facility for the finishing touches.

From the beginning, deep thought and preparation went into the design. Renovo Motors consulted with Peter Brock, the man responsible for Shelby’s 1964 Le Mans winning car, to make the electric version look as close to it as possible.

The design was unveiled earlier in August. Renovo is referring to it as ‘the first American all-electric supercar’. The Renovo Coupe has dual sequential electric motors that send 500 horsepower and 1000 pound-feet of torque to the back wheels.

The vehicle will reportedly go from 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds. On a full battery, the cars only travel about 100 miles, but they can be quick charged in only 30 minutes with a complete charge taking around 5 hours.
