A bag chock full of money has been reported missing. On August 6th, an armored vehicle picked up the sack of approximately $21,000 at Revel Atlantic City, which is scheduled to close in the near future.
Somehow the bag got left on the roof of the truck. The mistake wasn’t caught until hours after the pickup. Once the casino was notified, staffers reviewed surveillance video which shows the money bag on the rear driver's side roof.
It was still there when the truck started moving and pulled away from the casino. Surprisingly, the sack was resting on the roof approximately 6 minutes later when the armored auto pulled up at Resorts Casino Hotel to make yet another pickup.
After that, the truck headed down a major route. Somewhere along the journey the bag disappeared. It remains a mystery where the bag fell off and if someone snatched it up.
An investigation has been launched to determine what happened to the cash.
Bad luck seems to plague the beleaguered hotel. The hotel and casino will be closing on September 1st and 2nd due to finance troubles.
