U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder met with community members in Ferguson, Missouri, on Wednesday (August 20) and vowed a thorough civil rights probe into the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black teenager that has set off 11 nights of racially charged unrest.

"We're looking for violations of federal criminal civil rights statutes which is different from what the local investigation is. But we have brought a substantial number of agents here who have done a great job in the canvassing that they did over the past weekend. They continue to follow leads so that we can do a thorough and fair job in making a determination on what happened on the August the 9th," Holder said.
