Siren was a punk band in the 1990's fronted by Maximum Rock'N'Roll columnist Brian Zero. They advocated a wide assortment of progressive ideals and encouraged band/audience interaction and challenged the hierarchy of the scene. Apparently they turned down offers from labels they thought were too corporate. One of the only bands from the time that really seemed to give a damn.
