The White-cheeked Bulbul or Himalayan Bulbul (Pycnonotus leucogenys) is a species of songbird in the Pycnonotidae family. It is found in Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Tajikistan. If they are mixed with humans from a young age, they will become friendly to humans.

This bird is sitting on a shrub of Berberis aristata which is an important medicinal plant. Birds love the blue berries that the Berberis produces and an important ayurvedic medicine called Liv 52 is made from this plant.
