The Millennium Centre is an urban shopping complex maintained by a Society called "The Millennium Centre Authority" and complete ownership by the Government of Mizoram. It is located at the heart of the Capital City, Aizawl, fully equipped with parking space for medium sized vehicles, more than 300 numbers of shop units, escalators, elevators, state-of-the-art-electrical panel systems and automatic power backup, hydrant systems, alarm detection system together with sprinkler system. The structure of the entire building is expected to be one of the firmest and most advanced in the entire state.
The capital state as well as the largest city of Mizoram is Aizawl; the center of all important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat.Aizawl is also the main religious and cultural centers of the Mizos, the ethnic tribe of Mizoram.The city lies just north of the Tropic of cancer and is located at 3715 feet from the sea level. A birds eye view of the city will sure catch the attention of the beholder.
Some of the notable places once you get to Aizawl city are Mizoram State Museum, Durtlang Hills, Mini Zoo, Bara Bazar, Luangmual Handicarfts Centre and Berawtlang Tourist Complex. Apart from these tourist sites, the nearby tourist attractions are Bung, Paikhai, Tamdil lake, Dampa Wildlife Sanctuary, Kolasib, Vantawng waterfalls, Champhai, Phawngpui, Saiha and Lunglei.
