Ganges river just kept eroding the banks, with buildings falling on all sides, in Uttarkashi. This bridge was marooned in the middle of the river, as the Ganges swept to both sides of the bridge that links Uttarkashi town to the other side including the NIM campus (Nehru Institute of Mountaineering).
