Dhruv Visvanath Trio (DVT) is an Alternative Rock band from Delhi, formed by Dhruv Visvanath who is a self taught guitarist, drummer, bassist, pianist and many other instruments. Dhruv has often been labelled a jack of all trades & a one man band as well and has a percussive guitar playing style which is somewhat a unique to the Indian music scene.

Born in New Delhi, India, Dhruv Visvanath is a jack of all trades when it comes to music. His primary Interest lies within the intricacies of the guitar. Dhruv is a self taught guitarist and a grade 4 pianist. He also plays the Drums, the Bass guitar,and the Djembe. He's also known to sing when the mood passes! He's been considered a musical prodigy in the music circuit here in New Delhi!

Dhruv Visvanath is best known for his technique of spanking the guitar, or at least that is what the people around him like to say.
As a solo percussive acoustic guitarist, Dhruv has ushered in a new genre of music in to the Sub-Continent with his flamboyant style and is now one of the most talented youths in the music scene in India. With the ability to sing, play and drum all at once, being a one man band isn't easy but rest assured, his playing style is unique and thus is a title well earned.

Dhruv has recently broadened his song writing into more of a complete setting with the help of the Dhruv Visvanath Trio or DVT With Amar Pandey on the Bass and Ishaan Gandhi on the Drums, a revolution in the modern day trio has come to life. With many Pop and contemporary influences and pumped up riffs and melodies, you'll be sure to enjoy the energy that they exude on stage!

Based in the mountains, Big Gig has its roots in music and represents the community that loves travel, exploration and community work in the Himalayan region.
