Following in the footsteps of Parikrama, that started out of Delhi University and went on to become one of the most iconic independent music establishments in the country, Delhi based Raagleela is a the fusion band with a difference. Raagleela, with their aim of presenting classical music in a new light to the world have come a long way with their fresh sound, since their debut two years ago as a college band.

Raagleela uses elements of blues and jazz to their base of classical music to produce a fresh sound that has made people sit up and take notice of this five piece band comprising of Sarthak Chawla on the keyboards, Niloy Ghosh Dastidar on bass, Sarthak Joshi on Guitars, Sarthak Pahwa on percussions and Vaibhav Ahuja on drums. Inspired by Anoushka Shankar and Prem Joshua equally they expertly mix Hindustani classical with jazz and blue overtones, funk and psychedelia.

While Raagleela started off as a college band, in one successive year of doing the college band competition circuit in 2009, and participating in prestigious events like Mood Indigo (IIT Bombay fest) they raked in a good two dozen awards making them a college circuit favourite. They have moved onto bigger pastures since then, and have been headlining for a while, as Sarthak tells us. The Big Gig Exclusive event is just another chip on their shoulder. At the Big Gig Exclusive festival, this classical fusion band should add a good amount of variety to the milieu.

Based in the mountains, Big Gig has its roots in music and represents the community that loves travel, exploration and community work in the Himalayan region.

Big Gig Exclusive in Landour, provides an excellent opportunity for the Big Gig community to come together and enjoy music in the midst of our beautiful surroundings.

It offers a diverse range of musical acts for a discerning audience. The Big Gig Exclusive's setting in the Himalayas makes it truly unique. Overlooking the Dehradun valley, the Highlands at 7500ft, in Landour is a scenic paradise.

Big Gig Exclusive lives up to its moniker by being truly exclusive, not in terms of catering to only wealthy festival attendees, but by attracting true music lovers, people who actually want a break from their daily lives and enjoy a weekend surrounded by music and the beauty of the mountains. It's easy enough to get there (Landour is located on a hill right next to the town of Mussoorie), but it still seems like a lifetime away from the noise of the city.
