Salsa Dura being performed by Latindian Jam at a concert called 'An Evening of Music' presented by ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) in collaboration with the Embassy of El Salvador in Delhi.

Salsa dura, also known as salsa gorda, describes salsa music from the 1970s, which emphasizes strong percussion and horns over vocals. This is in contrast to salsa romantica, from the 1990s to the present.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), is an autonomous organisation of the Government of India, involved in India's external cultural relations, through cultural exchange with other countries and their peoples. It was founded on 9 April 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India.
