Tsering Dhonden Tibetan colony or Tsering Dhonden Tibetan Refugee Settlement, Rajpur: The new Tsering Dhonden Tibetan Refugee Settlement, Mangluwala, Dehradun, was inaugurated and consecrated by His Holiness The Dalai Lama on March 29, 2005. This project was sponsored and implemented by the International Foundation, U.S.A. Mr Douglas Coe and Senator Clairbourn Pell have been instrumental in completing this project. This settlement will rehabilitate 160 families residing in and around Rajpur area. The settlement was handed over to the CTRC on October 20, 2004. 745 Tibetan refugees have moved into their new homes on November 16, 2004. We would like to thank Mr. Douglas Coe, Senator Clairbourn Pell and the International Foundation for their initiative and support.
