The Teen Choice 2014 Awards is voted for by teen viewers online, giving artists who are popular with kids the chance to thank their fans.
Singer and actress Selena Gomez, who has faced plenty of tabloid headlines of late on her on-off relationship with Justin Bieber, accepted the Choice Ultimate Award.

"I have to be honest, especially this month, I cannot thank you guys because you remind me amidst all this stuff that we deal with personally of what's important and that's giving and loving and caring about each other."
Kim Kardashian accepted the Choice Reality Award on behalf of her whole family for "Keeping up with the Kardashians".
